Our Annual Walkathon, Makin’ Strides for Strays, is back!

Makin’ Strides for Strays is an annual event that has become a family tradition for Naperville and surrounding communities. For 29 years, A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter has held this walkathon to raise funds to support the animals we care for while they wait for their forever homes, as well as to help us provide services to the community like low cost vet care and housing assistance.

This event, held at Naperville Central High School on May 1st, features a 2.5 mile
walk through downtown Naperville. We’ll have vendor booths, food, live music and a raffle available for all to enjoy at the Naperville Central High School Stadium Parking lot from 8:30 am – noon. Come on out and join us (hopefully some A.D.O.P.T. animals too) for a wonderful morning with other pet-loving people.

Would you like to participate and help us raise these much-needed funds? Click the link below to create
your own personal fundraising page and share it with all your friends and co-workers. Cash donations or pledges-per-mile all total to help the shelter animals. We simply request a suggested minimum donation of $25 to participate.
