Featured Cat

Sydney came to our shelter after her time was up at Animal Control. Because she doesn`t get along with other cats and was very unhappy being caged at the shelter, she went into foster care.  Her foster mom reports that she`s very comfortable with dogs and loves to hang out with people, following them around the house and chatting with them. She`s also fond of laps and being petted. While her foster mom would love to keep her, she`s got three other cats and that makes Sydney uncomfortable. She needs to get into a home of her own where she can blossom into the loving pet she can be. Please give Sydney a chance, won`t you?

When you come to adopt a cat, please bring two forms of identification, one of which should be a picture ID. If the address on the ID and check are not the same or current, please provide some other proof of residence such as a utility bill, etc.

Fees
Cats and Kittens
Adoption fees start at $125.00.

As of November 17, 2007 ADOPT will no longer perform declaws on a cat or kitten, although an adopter may still have a cat or kitten declawed at their own veterinarian at their own risk and expense. ADOPT does not permit 4 paw declaws.

ADOPT now has a "Fee Assistance Policy" posted and available at our shelter.

A.D.O.P.T. is committed to the welfare of each of our animals

  • All Cats are spay/neutered.
  • Each animal is current on vaccinations.
  • Each animal is examined and treated for worms and parasites.
  • Cats are tested for feline leukemia and FIV
  • A.D.O.P.T. microchips all animals. This facilitates the return of lost pets. Your own identification and county rabies tag on your pet are still vitally important. Make sure your pet has a good chance for returning home should he get lost!
