Job Title: Animal Care Attendant
 
Reports To:  Shelter Management

Seeking energetic, experienced and friendly person for animal care. Part-time positions available, weekends required. Duties include cleaning cages, daily care of animals in the facility and helping with tasks around the shelter. Must be comfortable handling dogs and cats of all types/sizes. Job Title: Operations Director
 
Reports To:  Board of Directors

A.D.O.P.T., a private non-profit organization in Naperville, IL seeks an experienced sheltering professional to oversee the operation of all facility programs, procedures and resources on a daily basis for an 11,000 square foot facility. Candidates must have 5 years of shelter management experience, knowledge of animal welfare issues, computer proficiency and excellent organizational skills. Must have the ability to oversee projects, programs, and staff simultaneously. It is vital to have excellent communication skills and ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and independent judgment.

Job Title: Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk 
 
Reports To:  Finance Committee
 
Job Summary: This part time position will be responsible for maintaining all financial transactions by establishing and maintaining accounts, posting transactions, producing monthly financial reports and processing payroll.   
 
Job Specifications:
*      Willing to accept direction from the Finance Committee or Board approved representative
*      Have at least two years experience, a college degree or related experience in bookkeeping/accounting
*      Experience in Quick Books a must
*      Work well independently, be self motivated and detail oriented
*      Be a positive team player
*      Have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
*      Maintains/improves ADOPT system to account for financial transactions by maintaining and amending a chart of accounts; improving bookkeeping policies and procedures
*      Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
*      Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries
*      Maintains historical records by filing documents
*      Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
*      Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions
*      Positively contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
*      Identify priorities and manage to those priorities on a daily basis
*      Performs other bookkeeping related duties as assigned
