![]() This is our Alex. He was born Dec. 17, 2000. We got him in March of 2001. He is a great dog and very protective of his girls. He is a mamma`s boy and follows me everywhere. His brother Sammy just past on March 2, 2005 and he is missing him terribly, he still has his brother Lucky (the cat below). As you can see, they get a long great. They love each other a lot. Alex is a joy, but we can`t keep food out. He will grab it off the counter and table if we`re not careful. He also lets the girls dress him up. He really puts up with a lot. Thank you A.D.O.P.T. We love our Alex Joseph Merrithew.
Blessings, The Merrithew`s Quigley (aka Prancer) ![]() I am attaching a few pictures of Emma and Quigley Watts. They get along famously! Quigley has moved right in and taken over - Emma`s bed and our hearts.
I will send more, and clearer, pictures when I can get them to stop moving!
Very truly yours,
Kathleen Watts
Mugsy ![]() We wanted to send you an update on our little guy, Mugsy, for your alumni page. We adopted him in June of 2004, when he was known by the name of Shoji at ADOPT. He was very timid at first, and it took him a while to learn that he was welcome here, and had freedom. (He lived the first three years of his life in a puppy mill) He has since learned that all he has to do is look up at us with those big brown eyes to get all the love and attention he wants! He LOVES all his toys (he has tons) and especially enjoys being held like a baby and getting belly rubs. As you can probably tell, he has become a very spoiled, and very loved addition to our home. He is truly a joy and blessing to our family! A special thanks to his foster mom Connie, who introduced us to him, and just knew what a perfect match we would be!! Thanks to all of you at ADOPT for the wonderful job you do for all these loving little guys.
*The Kasmar Family*
I adopted Libby (formerly Cookie) at the end of January. She is doing great! She`s such a good girl. She loves to talk in her kitty language and play with her toys. When I come home everyday, I put the key in the door and pause for a split second and she is always on the other side of the door kitty-talking to me. Before I even get inside! She has quite a personality! She sleeps curled up right next to me every night. I`m so happy I found her! Thanks to everyone at ADOPT!

Layla
![]() Dear Adopt -
In October of 2002 our home recieved it`s third member "Layla", an all black girl who was 1 when we addopted her.
Me and my fiance` were walking by the adoption center at PetSmart and with there being so many cats looking for homes I didn`t know who would be the best for our newest addition. I needed at cat that was outgoing, friendly and used to other cats.
As all the other cats were napping and eating dinner one caught my attention on the floor and kept walking back and forth following me. Then when I went inside to meet her she jumped up next to me and was right in my face. I thought that this must be the one that`s meant for me.
I was told that Layla was a stray that was found on the streets and was pregnant at the time...all her kittens had been adopted out about 2 weeks prior to me taking her home and so it was now her turn to find a loving and caring home.
Layla by far is the most outgoing of all my cats and the most assertive. She`s always right there in the middle of the action ready for anything.
Since Layla our family has seen the arrival of another cat which I rescued in July of 2004 that had been shot. She has had no problems adjusting to her 3 brothers and loves their company.
Thanks ADOPT for finding Layla and giving me a true friend for life. Your organization is wonderful and is a guardian angel for so many animals who really need a 2nd chance at life.
Sincerely...Jennifer W. and Ross H.
