"MAKIN' STRIDES FOR STRAYS '11

A.D.O.P.T.'s 18th Annual "Makin' Strides for Strays" Walkathon has come and gone-what a great way it was to support a great cause!!

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT TO SUPPORT THIS EVENT, OR WHO CONTRIBUTED TO IT!!

Here is a brief summary of results from this major annual event:

Total number of human walkers: 518
Total number of canine participants: 302
Total dollars raised: $46,544.14 (as of 5/14/11)



A bit of trivia:

  • The first "Makin' Strides for Strays" walk was held in 1994. An estimated 155 people participated and about $21,000 was raised.
  • Over the course of the last 18 walks, a cumulative total of $805,405.66 was raised.
