Littered with Litter
3 tons of litter being delivered to the shelter
On Monday, October 10, more than 3 tons of litter were delivered to A.D.O.P.T., representing its percentage as the top vote getter in the most recent GiveLitter campaign.
With more than 59,550 votes cast by animal lovers over a forty-five day period among three shelters, A.D.O.P.T. bested Homeward Pet in Washington and Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (New York) to earn over 6000 pounds of litter.
Sponsored by the No More Homeless Pets Network, a program of the Best Friends Animal Society, the campaign required animal lovers to “vote” for their favorite shelter, with each shelter getting a percentage of more than 15,000 pounds of litter provided by World’s Best Cat Litter.
Through its Blessed Bonds program and because of Blessed Bonds’ association with the Best Friends Network Charities, A.D.O.P.T. was one of 12 organizations nominated, and then one of the 3 finalists that were selected to compete and, eventually, the top vote getter.
So, thanks to the Best Friends Network Charities for the GiveLitter program, thanks to Blessed Bonds for facilitating our nomination, and thanks to all who took the time to vote.
So where do we store 6,000 pounds of litter??!!
